Barco has extended the capability of the TransForm N (TFN) product range to support HDMI 2.0 compliant 4K60 AV sources through the NGS-D440 encoder. In TFN, the video walls were already centrally managed by the Barco Control Room Management Suite (CMS). Now the NGS-D440 encoders can also be centrally managed via the Encoder Manager service, running on the NEM-110 appliance.
To deliver a setup, configuration & maintenance experience that is easy, reliable, and worry-free, the Encoder Manager service and NGS-D440 encoders rely on standard proven enterprise IT network services and protocols. The service is built as an IT-integrated software product to centrally manage AV sources, delivered into the TFN product range via dedicated NGS-D440 encoders.
Key features:
- Superb image quality
The NGS-D440 comes with Barco’s latest image processing engine, which provides the best scaling and color space conversion algorithms on the market today. Furthermore, resolutions up to 4K60 are supported through an industry-standard protocol. - Network IT-integrated
The NGS-D440 requires standard IT services (DHCP, DNS, NTP) to be available in the network during operation. This allows to easily change the network configuration without the need to reconfigure the system. Furthermore, it easily provides access to the Encoder Manager service through its configured host name in your domain (no need to remember IP’s). - Easy installation & configuration
Because of the above-mentioned network integration, the device discovery is faster and simpler than ever. Additionally, it is very easy and fast to create a source via a utility button that can be used to identify a device. - Centrally managed by NEM-110
The NGS-D440s are all centrally managed by a NEM-110 (only in a TFN context, so they can’t operate stand-alone). This means that there’s no need to worry about firmware upgrades; this is all handled through a single software instance on the NEM-110. - Performance
The NGS-D440 comes with an HDMI 2.0 input. This input supports up to UHD (3840 x 2160) at 60fps and features an active loop-through that creates a 1:1 copy of the input. Furthermore, the power (PoE+ and USB-C) and the network (bonding) redundancy guarantee a high uptime of the device.
